this is my nonsense

So i smuggled my camera into work, so i thought i'd put some photos up, they are from after work but it's cool cos it has the corridors of bacara for you all to see! There's craig at the propaganda board, the corridor, and a happy, end of work, photo of mike craig and stella! oh and my foot! But keep it quiet cos' i'll be fired if people find out about these photos, tried to be really stealth and hide the camera from the security spy cameras that follow us everywhere! Feel like i'm in harrods being watched constantly! And i promise to try write in a more understandable way, apparently my popcorn vs. toothpaste entry confised everyone, actually even me when i read over it, so i'm sorry for those making those self consious people feel stupid, well actually i'm not, i only have feelings for those that comment, get the hint? (if not then u must be one of the self consious people and really confused right now!)

Welcome back everyone, and i'm writing to you from the house that we're house sitting, yes, someone (our house parent people!) trusted us with it, so at the moment i feel like an old senile granny cos' i'm smelling like cat food from feeding the bloody thing that won't stop meowing at me, it's insesant; but i kinda figured out why! The dogs keep eating the cat food, cos it's way better than those dog biscuit things (so i don't blame them!) so the cat hadn't eaten anything fro awhile, it's the last thing we would have needed for the cat to peg on us, they would have never forgiven us, but i suppose i shouldn't say anything cos they aren't back yet! The cat could always go hunt, and be a manly cat! But we've been good, the house is still relatively clean, the animals are alive, and we avoided having any house parties! But it's been great, we played volleyball, which i really suck at but i made the winning point for our team (yes we won!) so we ran around like rabie ridden dogs all excited like we had just won the world cup! We also had another bonfire, they are so so cool, and thats something thats like in the movies, it's so chilled out! So we made a massive bonfore, had a few 18 packs of bud light (ye they do it in 18's here!) and played catchphrase, it's a wicked game that i'm going to have to play with everyone, u have to make ur team guess the word u explaining, but as the night goes on it's gets really confusing, well more just a total joke! So there some photos up of that good night, me with my massai blanket, we're inseperable! I hope everyone else is good, and not getting into any trouble, or at least having fun if you are! Keep in touch, that means u, yes you reading this now!

So i think we should all learn something new everyday, so i though i'd let you know that tv/movies lie, it's totally not what it looks like on tv, we've spent our time in this country making excuses saying but thats how it happens in the movies but it ain't real! I'm going to take the popcorn for example, yes, that innocent popcorn in the photo! it caused loads of trouble, we thought it would be like in the movies and pop away all perfectly, just like how people who who brush their teeth in movies never get loads of foam (don't know what we actually call that stuff!), but it didn't it ended up burning, and setting off the fire alarm, which woke up everyone in a mile radius, and smoked the whole house out! So todays lesson, is don't believe what you see in the movies! out!

So it was a bad hair day until recently, literally! Being in hotels and all we decided it was getting way outa control (refer to the photo where i actually have a shirt!) so because i'm saving up for the asian travels i decided craig would have to be the one to take the paper cutting scissors to my head! And it came out really well (refer to all the shirtless photos!) so we're all happy (two thumbs up!) and decided to let you all know about it! So polina, Craig is going to have to teach you a thing or ten about cutting so no one else has to hit on a montreux hairdresser (for anyone who doesn't understand u either not at SHMS or way outa the loop!) Ok the microwave meal is beeping at me...gotta go!

Hey all...
The weeks seem to be flying by over here, and i know that it'll be all over before i even know it, but i've realized there'll be a few things i miss from this place, starbucks, movies coming out first, and ....well i said a few things! So we went all Ranger Joe and Yogi Bear on Sunday, we went to this national park on the otherside of the mountains with Coleen and Vick (our american family) we have insane fires burning through California so that explains the bad photo's because there's ash everywhere, started laughing because there are people walking the streets with masks because of the ash... i suppose it is pretty bad becasue the town next to us is being evacuated, but i doubt it'll get over here, but i'll keep you posted! So the park was cool, we just chilled at the river and jumped off the rocks into the river, reminded me of lake placid so i was waiting for the giant croc to take me,but we weren't in new jersey (where the lake is!) and it was a river, so i suppose my fears were unfounded! but still it was green and you couldn't see the bottom! So there are some photos of us, and also with our 'family'! getting ready for craig to give me a hair cut, so i'll let you know how that goes, where the rescue pills?!

Hey everyone, so we've both recovered from our disney adventure; and the next day we spent the day recovering at faece (have no clue how to spell that, but craig made it up so it's a big word!) pipe beach!!! It's the main beach in Santa Barbara and it has a beautiful faece pipe going across it! But we had fun, as you can see by the pictures! I seriuosly believe that people here must think we crazy, as much as we think they have a few screws loose ( i suppose craig hugging a fire truck add's to the craziness!)! So we had to get a few photos with the pipe! Then i also got a photo of Donna and i from when they came to visit, i know a bit late, but at least i'm still getting it up! All's normal over here otherwise, work is really slow, so we pass time by colouring in the kids activity pads, going on missions to steal cookies from the kitchen, i'm actually really bad at this and never succeed, or we just make cappuchinos and sit and talk, slightly more adult i suppose! Craig and i are already getting excited about leaving, i think it's down to 44 days left now, that we've started packing our bags! well at least sorting out whats going to hospice, we can be humanitarians too! Well i better go, have to get to work and i've thought of something new to do...actually work!

So it's been an amazing day, and a long one, craig and i got up at a time when people our age are usually still awake, well the ones stumbling home at night and those dodge ones that just camp out on the street benches! We ran to catch the train and got on for out long trip down to Anaheim, ye, it doesn't sound like much but this place is home to one of the greatest (or as the saying goes happiest) places on earth: Disneyland. You should have seen us we were like kids, i think the people on the train found us really annoying, but we were excited so you can't really hold that back! So the disney here has two parks, California adventures and then the normal Disney one! Ok so here's the deal, craig had never been on a rollercoaster so i figured i'd be the one who showed him the light towards excitement!!! So naturally i decided to go on the scariest one first, harsh i know, but it was well worth it. So we went on the Tower of Terror, ye i know just the name is enough to scare the shits outa you! So just think of an elevator plunging 12 floors, it's way cool! and the greatest thing was the park was practically empty, well there's a reason for that i suppose which wasn't cool, it's sept. 11th so the flags were at half mast and the because it's considered a target it was really slow! but hey, we still ended up having an amazing day...so ye, we went on the other rides there like the rollercoaster, and this thing that shoots you into the air really fast, and another where you fly over california and see all the sights and at the same time you can smell it, like the sea and stuff, it's totally rad! so there were some awesome things there! Ok then we decided to release the kids in us and went to the proper disnayland, wow wow wow it's so cool...so we did everything we could there, space mountain, indiana jones, pirates of the caribbean (which totally rocked!!! and wait till you see soem of the photos, i went all out!), splash mountain, ha craig got drenched! there's just way too many to mention! so it was totally wicked because we got to do it all, the place really did rock! and then i bought the coolest thing in the world, a capt. jack sparrow wig and pirate hat, i looked totally cool, but when we got back to santa barbara i did get some strange stares on the bus! No one here understands, so thats what the strange thing on my head is! i've decided i want to marry that place and have little disney crazed babies with it! So there are a load of photos to keep you all entertained! There are some funny ones i know! So i hope you're all well, i'll write again soon i promise, but for now lets just sing: yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me....mmm mm mmm mm m m mm mm

So another week has passed, and now it's the beginning of a new one, humph, ye the weekend has passed, and it seems like i did an absolute load! Work the past week was crazy, and just like something out of faulty towers, another person quit, there were screaming guests, a fight (ye i'm being serious!), and many calls to security, but i suppose thats expected when you have 100% occupancy, mainly becasue it was labour day weekend! So ye, on Sunday we had a braai here at the house and all these people came over so we ate and just chilled, but we watched this disturbing movie later that day called harold and maude, it's really old and really wierd, so if you want to just sit there thinking sick it's the perfect movie for u! The worst part is it was someones favourite movie, not going to say why, so you can try find out! Then i had a car, oh ye, someone from work lent me the car for a few days, which was really cool, so i drove to work and drove to starbucks and drove well just drove, i got really excited and it's all i did! But it was so awkward, obviously because everything is opposite to what we're use to so driving to begin with was scary for the passenger, i think i took a few years off craigs life! But it went ok, never got stopped by the cops which was a good thing, but i suppose i have to wait till the guy gets all the fines with me caught on camera making funny faces! But it was really cool having that independance to just jump in the car and go! Ok so yesterday was really cool, went to the beach because the restaurant was closed for renovations for the day and everyone was there, so they had a massive party on the beach, but i left early becasue i had people coming to visit! Felt really important when people were asking where i was going and i said there were people visiting, which then got them invites to the party! They are family friends and they came over to catch up, it was really good, and great to just see some different people and talk about the US, it can be a funny place sometime! So it was a cool weekend, kinda feel like i did alot, oh ye and watched this movie called the Wicker Man, and i beg everyone to steer clear of this one, it included lines such as 'You're killing me over honey' and 'My leegggsss aaahhh' so what was mean't to be a horror turned out to be a really wierdly funny and bad movie! So rather go hang out at the mall and mock people, it'd be way more fun! I've also booked all my flights to see everyone in Asia, well not everyone but the cool ones! So i'm really excited, had my bank balance at $30 for a while but it's all worth it! Can't wait to go now! So everyone, i better be off! work is calling, and the African slave trade must respond! Missing you all, and write sometime!
